Bio
Hello Everyone,
My name is Aparna Tyagi and I have been a Special Education Teacher at CHIME for the last 6 years. I have can proudly state that I have co-taught in all the grade levels (K-5) at CHIME. I was born and raised in India. I have completed my bachelors in Sociology and masters in Psychology from India. For 5 years I took a break and had two wonderful kids. I live in Woodland Hills and both my children are CHIME students as well. I decided to further my education here in the US, so I acquired my special education credential from CSUN in 2004. Along with my masters in special education. I graduated in 2006 with distinction. I have worked at CHIME since then. My philosophy is that with the right tools and strategies, every student can learn and grow. I believe “the purpose of learning is growth, and our minds, unlike our bodies, can continue to grow as long as we live.” (Mortimer Adler)
I am fluent in Hindi and English. I am very proud to be part of the CHIME community! During my spare time I love to go hiking in Malibu State Park and traveling far and wide with my family. I am very excited to be working with the kinder, third, and fourth grade team teams this year and am looking forward to a wonderful year ahead with our amazing students. You can reach me via email at
