Bio

Ali Steers is a licensed and credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist. She began her career obtaining foundational clinical skills in pediatrics but her desire to provide services in the most natural, least restrictive environment led her to CHIME Charter, a fully inclusive educational environment that functions on a consultative/collaborative model of "push in" service delivery. Ali has interests and expertise in the areas of assistive technology, collaborative/consultative "push in" service delivery, and addressing the complex communication challenges of students with communication impairments in fully inclusive settings. Her years of service have included presenting lectures on interdisciplinary assistive technology assessment and intervention at California State University Northridge. She also has experience as a consultant with local charter schools regarding collaborative teaming and methods of addressing the communication needs of students with disabilities in inclusive classroom settings.
