Bio
My name is Jaclyn Ogroskin and I am looking forward to a wonderful year of teaching 7th grade Pre-Algebra, 8th grade Algebra, 8th grade Algebra Readiness, and Life Skills. I graduated from California State University, Northridge, where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies. By majoring in Liberal Studies, I was able to participate in the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP), and simultaneously earn my Multiple Subject Credential.
After graduating, I spent two years as a substitute
teacher for L.A.U.S.D., which gave me the opportunity to
work in grade levels K-5 throughout the San Fernando
Valley. During this time, I filled a four month position
in an Autism Without Walls program, working closely with
the Resource Teacher to co-teach math. This job inspired
me to return to CSUN, where I completed the necessary
requirements to teach math at a secondary level.
I believe that every student can succeed when given the
proper opportunity. In my classroom, I will pull from many
notable sources to create a classroom environment that is
safe and open to many philosophies and learning styles.
If you would like to discuss anything with me, please
feel free to
send me an e-mail or call to set up a time to
meet.
