Bio
Welcome to Chime Charter School! My name is Maureen
Abigail L. Khalili. This year will be my fourth year teaching at Chime
Charter School where I will teach the sixth grade Math and one
section of Social Studies. I studied at University of Phoenix where I obtained my
degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Management. I also enjoyed
completing my teaching credentials at California State University of
Northridge where I minored in the Early Childhood Program. Prior to
teaching, I was working with a car dealership where I did accounting duties.
This job allowed me to enhance my math skills.
I am so grateful and truly excited to be working with you and your child
during the upcoming school year.
As a teacher, it is my mission to encourage children to experience the world
and continue learning throughout their lives. I would like to begin by
stating that I am a life-long learner. I am bilingual and very much enthused
about our multicultural society and the need for our children to have an
interactive role in it.
I hope this year will be both successful and enjoyable for you. I truly do
consider students, teachers, and parents a part of the team. Together we can
make the transition to Middle School successful.
If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to make an appointment
at any time to come in and talk with me.
Homework
One hour of homework is recommended daily for sixth graders. If a student
completes all work in class, it is still wise to study or read for one hour.
This prepares the students for Middle School.
