Bio

My name is Kathy Jamison. I graduated from California State University, Northridge with a degree in English and an Elementary Credential. I had a long career in Retail Management with a company called Ohrbach’s, but after I had my kids I decided to go back to teaching. I worked at Valley Presbyterian School as a 2nd grade teacher and was fortunate to go to school each day with both of my kids. In addition to teaching I was the Assistant to the Principal. Seven years ago I decided to go back to college and in 2006 I got my Master’s degree in Elementary Education and my Administrative Credential from Grand Canyon University.  

I am married to my best friend, Smitty, and we have two great kids. Our daughter, Chelsey, works with children who have special needs and our son Tyler is an incredible drummer. This is my 5th year at CHIME and I feel blessed to be working in this wonderful community. I love my team and I love second graders. They are the best!
