Board of Directors
The founding Board of Directors of the CHIME Institute was comprised of parents of CHIME students and California State University, Northridge (CSUN) faculty and community representatives. With the organization’s growth, the Board has been expanding and evolving to bring in specific expertise and skills, i.e., business management and finance. The Board currently has representation from the fields of education, business management, law, marketing, and community activism.

 Stephanie Horn, Director

Stephanie Horn joined the Board in 2010. Ms. Horn has extensive experience in marketing, branding, product and service development, public relations, and sales. Most recently, she was vice president of marketing for Viking River Cruises. Prior to that, she worked as director of marketing and public relations for DaVita, a kidney care company. Ms. Horn has also held positions as senior director of product marketing for Safety-Kleen, an environmental services company, senior associate at McKinsey and Co. where she worked with corporate managers to plan and implement competitive strategies, and director of marketing for Madison Market, the second largest food retailer in Seattle.

Her service to the community includes volunteering for CASA and Reading to Kids. She was previously an elected officer for Wildwoods Foundation and is a past board member of Kappa Alpha Theta Alumni.

Ms. Horn has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s degree in English from Bucknell University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
