Bio

My name is Amy Bullard, and I’m excited to be returning to the first grade team. I began my teaching career in Burbank Unified School District, after earning my teaching credential from Occidental College’s Educational Leaders Program. I originally joined the CHIME community as a parent, when my oldest son started kindergarten five years ago, and now all three of my children attend CHIME: my oldest son is in fifth grade, and my twin son and daughter are both in third. I feel very lucky to now join my children at school every day. When I’m not at school, I love being active with my family. We enjoy playing tennis, hiking, and riding bikes together. I also love to read, so if you’ve read any great books lately, I’d love to know about them. I’m originally from Oregon, and my family and I take a road trip there every summer to visit relatives and enjoy the Northwest. I’m looking forward to getting to know the new first graders and their families, as we start another great year in first grade.
