Bio
Hello, my name is Adie Buchinsky and I will be working with both the kindergarten and first grade teams this year. Although I have been involved in education, particularly in inclusive models of education, and have enjoyed my last year at CHIME.
I received my Bachelor's in Education Studies and Human
Development from Brown University in 2006. While in
Providence, Rhode Island, I worked at an inclusive
pre-school as a teaching assistant. Then, I moved to
Washington, DC and taught fifth grade at a bilingual
public school while studying for my Master's of Arts in
Teaching in elementary education from American University,
which I completed in 2008. For two years, I worked as a
learning strategist in New York and completed a Master's
from New York University in special education in 2010.
I believe wholeheartedly that inclusive settings are ideal for helping all students meet their individual needs while learning from their peers. All students can benefit from diverse, inclusive settings.
